NFDA Roundup: Sympathy Store, Tribute Book & More

We’re just getting back in the swing of things after another amazing NFDA event! A big thank you goes out to everyone who had a hand in making the event such a success; it was amazing to see all of you. I’ve got to tell you…that had to be one of the best funeral tradeshows I’ve been to yet. It’s great to see so many of you coming on board and adapting to these new innovations for your funeral firm.

The Sympathy Store

First of all, an exciting part of the Expo for us was that we introduced The Sympathy Store, by funeralOne. The Sympathy Store is an online ecommerce plug-in that can be integrated directly into your funeral website, allowing your families to purchase high-quality flowers and sympathy gifts right from your firm’s website.

And the best part is, by offering The Sympathy Store, you’ll provide higher convenience, satisfaction, and comfort to your families, while generating revenues for your business without the effort of selling. You literally plug in The Sympathy Store, and start pulling in profits—it’s that simple!

It’s no surprise The Sympathy Store was a huge hit among attendees, especially since it’s 100% free and can be effortlessly added to any funeral home website, regardless of provider.

Overall, there was just such amazing energy and excitement from everyone that stopped by the booth! Might have had something to do with the dancing flower girls…but we like to think the product had something to do with it as well!

Innovation Award Finalist

We were extremely honored that The Tribute Book, by funeralOne, was selected as a finalist for the 2011 NFDA Innovation Award. Obviously, it’s a product we believe in, but it was great to see the amount of interest and excitement generated by the nomination.

For those of you who weren’t able to attend, The Tribute Book is a product we created to give funeral firms another way to create healing experiences for their families and help honor the life lived.

We found that a typical register book wasn’t really helping families heal, but with The Tribute Book, families get to tell the story of their loved one from cover to cover with customizable text, photos, family trees, etc., while still allowing service guests to sign-in. It’s really everything families have been looking for in a register book, and the best part is they will cherish it for years to come.

Client Family Attraction Formula

I want to especially thank all of you who were able to make it out for my presentation, “The Client Family Attraction Formula” at NFDA. Thank you all for the amazing feedback from the presentation. I know 7:30 am on the last day of the show is a difficult time, so I really appreciate those of you who came out.

But, if you weren’t able to make it, or I left you wanting more, you’ll be happy to know I’m working on a series of educational videos to be released in coming months, so stay tuned!

Once again, an overall great show! Can’t wait to see you all next year in Charlotte, North Carolina!
