25 Quotes That Remind Us Why We’re In The Funeral Profession
September 15th, 2017In any job and in any profession, there are good days and there are bad days.
Sometimes you wake up and jump out of bed, ready to tackle the exciting day ahead. Other days, the sound of your alarm clock has you wanting to pull the covers over your head and hit the fast-forward button.
For funeral professionals, the highs and lows of the day-to-day work week can feel even more magnified than your typical 9 to 5 job. Day in and day out, we are seeing people on one of the most difficult days of their lives. We are helping people navigate through emotions like grief, depression, sadness and loss. And there is no rest or “weekend off” when it comes to loss. There is no fast-fast forward button.
But, on the opposite end, we are lucky to work in a profession where the highs are high. When we are able to comfort or help a family who is going through a great loss in their life, it makes it all worthwhile. Helping someone through a great loss is a gift, and it’s one that we sometimes need to be reminded of on the darker days.
Next time you need motivation or a simple reminder of why you are in the funeral profession to begin with, turn to one of these uplifting quotes…
